RECONSTRUCTION AND PROVISION OF HOUSING
Housing construction
Having a home is a basic human right. A safe and permanent home fully contributes to physical and mental health and increases life expectancy. Moreover, it eliminates any worries concerning losing shelter, allowing individuals to focus on building the life they want and establishing a firm family foundation
Housing is a significant factor in personal identity development, otection, security, social relations, etc. Living without a home and family is believed to disturb inner peace

Not everyone can afford a home; therefore, home construction for the underprivileged and vulnerable, contributes to society. This is a matter which charities including Nikan Mammut have long vigorously pursued
The Need for Home Constructio
Since security and protection have immense significance for humans, the need for shelter has been a theme throughout mankind’s history. Moreover, just like food and clothing, shelter is a basic human need. Housing plays a crucial role in family success, which adds importance to home construction
Scholars and psychologists have carried out numerous studies on housing as a subject. The results indicate that inadequate housing conditions are linked to depression, behavioral disorders, personality disorders, divorce, and migration. This is one of the main problems leading to an increase in social issues and crimes
Despite the significance of home construction, the state of the economy and social issues have had a heavy impact on home construction

As a matter of fact, adequate housing is recognized as a human right. General comment number 4, article 11 (1) of the international covenant on economic, social, and cultural rights (ICESCR) affirms that everyone (individuals and families) is entitled to adequate housing. Furthermore, it states: “ (The right to adequate housing) should be seen as the right to live somewhere in security, peace, and dignity.”
Plus, based on article 31 of the Islamic Republic of Iran constitution, the government is obliged to provide conditions in which disadvantaged groups access housing
In addition, it’s worth pointing out that religious guidelines consider family as the most solid pillar of society, and the well-being of families is closely interlocked with housing
Housing construction by Nikan charity
Housing provision is undeniably challenging; many families are completely deprived of this right, while some others are at risk of losing their homes. Natural disasters, financial distress, death of the head of household, etc., are some of the reasons why many end up homeless

Families with disabled children and those who reside in underprivileged areas might as well be at risk of eviction, leading to damaging consequences, such as the collapse of family life
Accordingly, by building adequate housing, Nikan Mammut Charity Foundation has adopted a constructive and compassionate approach to helping vulnerable individuals who are homeless for whatever reasons. By making an immediate donation, you can help make our efforts go further. Your support helps to eliminate financial difficulties, which is a contributory factor to homelessness
